Depending on how you interact with Energy 106, we may collect:

Studio messages: content you send us (e.g., WhatsApp/SMS messages, voice notes, shout-outs, requests, competition entries).
Newsletter sign-ups (Club Energy): typically your email address (and any optional details you choose to provide, such as name or preferences).
Competition/promotion details: information needed to run promotions and deliver prizes (for example, name and a way to contact you; winners may need address details for prize delivery).

4) Studio messages, voice notes, and “on-air” use
If you send messages or voice notes to Energy 106 (including via WhatsApp/SMS), we may:
read them out on air, and/or
use them (or parts of them) on our website and/or social media.
We do this because you’ve chosen to contact a radio station for interaction/content, and it’s part of producing live programming. If you want content removed from online use, contact us using the details in section 1 (note: we can’t always remove something that has already been broadcast live).

You can opt out at any time by:
using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, or
emailing info@energy106.co.uk with “Privacy” in the subject line.
6) Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share personal data with:
Service providers who help us operate our website, streaming, email/newsletter delivery, analytics, and IT/security (they process data only on our instructions).
Promotion/prize partners where needed to administer a promotion or fulfil prizes (we share the minimum necessary).
